Two short film reviews

Mud boy:
Film about a little girl who finds her brother dead in the back garden, killed and buried by her mothers abusive boyfriend, she's so traumatised that she doesnt realise he's dead, but continues to talk and play with him as though he's alive, it ends with the police turning up and finding the body of the little boy.

This film was extreamly moving, i found it had an amazing impact because very much like other short films it had a surprising twist, also the child actors had a great deal of skill to carry that out correctly, my only concern is that i would be unable to duplicate this given only five minuets seeing as this film is ten.

Homophobia In schools:
A documentary where children interview other people from their school in order to ascertain how they feel about gay people, if it's right to be homosexual etc.

I didnt really enjoy this documentary, though it did ask some important questions, it could have been handeled in a different way to help engage the audience, also the entire way through the camera was handheld which i found to be odd because it's not typical to the genre and didnt really fit, furthemore if they had perhaps done more with the sound it could have been more engaging, as it was i felt i had seen all the documentary was going to offer me after the first couple of minuets.
